Quest Games Optimizer: Update v12.7.0 gives you more control over Meta's performance boosters

The latest release of Quest Games Optimizer adds new options for fine-tuning your Meta Quest’s performance, giving you more direct control than ever.
Version 12.7.0 of Quest Games Optimizer is now live, and it comes with two notable features: you can now disable Application Space Warp (AppSW) and turn off Dynamic Resolution Scaling (DRS) on your Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, or Quest 2.
According to the developer, these additions are primarily intended for testing purposes. Both AppSW and DRS are designed to boost performance and help many games reach higher frame rates. Disabling them could put extra load on your GPU and may result in less stable frame rates, so tread carefully if you’re experimenting.
For context, Meta’s Application Space Warp is a rendering technology that helps VR games achieve smooth visuals even at lower frame rates. While it generally works well, some users have reported minor micro-stutters when it’s enabled. Dynamic Resolution Scaling, on the other hand, automatically adjusts the rendering resolution based on the current GPU load to keep the frame rate as steady as possible.
Beyond these headline features, the update also brings a set of smaller improvements. The list view is now easier to navigate — clicking on list items feels more intuitive. Several bugs have been addressed as well, including issues with displaying available storage on secondary accounts and glitches related to custom color themes that use images or transparency.
